Being a lover of art, I was thrilled to, virtually, meet Michael Mitchell, Liberian Painter. I discussed his craft with him and discovered a charming father of 5, well versed in his craft.
Michael painted with brushes for many years until he learned about Vincent Van Gogh. After exhilarating in the works of the famous painter he learned that Van Gogh painted with a spatula/blade, despite being very comfortable with brushes. So, Michael began to experiment with painting using blades and it grew to become his preferred method to create his masterpieces. As a result all of his pieces are vibrant and VERY textured. He is versed in acrylic and oil on canvas.
Michael says he draws inspiration form everyday activities, “Really, I just like things/images that make people happy! Dancing, music, family, sunshine, sports, everyday activities- all of those things bring joy to people.”
The father of 5 sells his paintings for a living and can be spotted at Mamba Point Hotel, a popular location for tourists. Michael created 7 pieces for sale in Tikolah’s shop. We are proud to have Michael’s work available in our shop!!!
Here is a sneak peek of the work that will be available in our shop after framing is completed- 7 total. Tikolah plans to profit share with Mr. Mitchell. So please subscribe, below, to be in the know when the pieces are ready! Spread the word to help Michael out!
